Brown Sugar Banana Bread

Today, I made some Banana Bread with my mom and thought I'd share with ya'll the recipe we used. It's simple, easy and tastes delicious. When we started we realized that we didn't have white sugar, after panicking for a couple minutes, we found a recipe that called for brown sugar. So, here's what you'll need.....

Makes 1 loaf

2 cups of Flour
1 tsp of Baking Soda
1/4 tsp of Salt
1/2 cup of Butter
3/4 cup of Brown Sugar
2 eggs, beaten
2 1/3 cup of mashed, overripe Bananas
Optional: 1/2 cup of Walnuts

Preheat oven to 350 °F. Lightly grease 9x5 inch bananas.

In a large bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, cream together butter and brown sugar. Stir in eggs and banana until well blended. Also if you use a stick of butter like I did, put into the microwave for 20 seconds to soften which makes it easier to stir into mixture.

Stir flour mixture into banana mixture, a little at a time until all mixed together.

If you're going to use walnuts, now is the time to add these in, just stir in 1/2 a cup until all mixed in.

Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake in preheated oven for 60-65 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center of the loaf comes out clean.
This recipe makes 1 loaf we just made 2

Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack. We didn't have a wire rack, which sucked, so we just let it cool on some parchment paper. Then you can cut and enjoy!

I hoped you liked this post, let me know in the comments if you try this recipe and tell me how it turned out.

Till next time
